“The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is quite inward at this time, showing white smoke, a dusting of mocha, confectioners spices and black currants. Here silky textures give way to cool-toned red fruits laced with minerals, as brisk acids create a mouth-watering expression. This tapers off long resonating on ripeness yet with a balancing twang of sour berries and spice. Although I would never pin this as a Cabernet in a blind tasting, it’s balanced and enjoyable.”
