Catena Zapata
Malbec Argentino
The Catena Zapata Malbec Argentino is one of three high-end Malbecs first released by the winery in 2007. Like its siblings, the wine exemplifies Nicolás Catena’s success and pioneering research with the Malbec grape in Mendoza. The vines for Catena Zapata Malbec Argentino are carefully chosen from two of the winery’s best vineyard sites: the Adrianna and the Nicasia.
Tasting Notes
Intense nose of cassis, mocha and clove combine with flavors of dark berries, tobacco, spice and minerals in this elegant wine. The palate-staining finish lingers with a smooth and luxurious nature offering flavors of dark berry fruit.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with lamb chops, beef tenderloin, and goat cheese.
