Acclaim
“A blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, the organic Castello di Bossi 2020 Corbaia shows its hot-vintage DNA with earthy tones, black fruit, ripe cherry and sweet baking spice. This is an ample, full-bodied wine with soft tannins that ages in barrique for 24 months, followed by 12 months in bottle. The vineyard soils consist of grayish-colored clay with rocks, and these conditions add to the structure and heft of this wine.” — Wine Advocate, Sep 2023
“The 2020 Corbaia is heady and explosive in the glass. Generous dark red fruit, leather, tobacco, cedar, incense, dried flowers and a kiss of French oak race out of the glass. Already quite open, the 2020 is less imposing than it can be, which means it will drink well with minimal cellaring. This is an especially forward, racy vintage for the Corbaia.”
