Tramin Unterebner

Unterebner Pinot Grigio Alto Adige DOC bottle image

Wine Description

This is not your typical Pinot Grigio. Made using hand-selected grapes from the Unterebner vineyard in Alto Adige, the wine is refined in large oak casks. After seven to eight months of lees contact, the resulting wine is rich, refined, and elegant.

Acclaim
“From a vineyard of calcareous clay and gravel rising above 1,350 feet, this is an ambitious wine that brings white Bordeaux to mind. Rich notes of guava and pale tropical fruit meld with scents of bread crust and vanilla. It’s smooth and round, a wine to decant if you open it now for roast veal.”
— Wine & Spirits, Aug 2013
“Pinot Grigio doesn’t get better than this. Fresh and fragrant, this lovely wine offers beautiful intensity and a soft, smooth consistency. Peach nectar, tangering, lemon curd and white almond all appear in perfect doses.”
— Wine Enthusiast, Jul 2013
