Tramin Nussbaumer

Nussbaumer Gewürztraminer Alto Adige DOC bottle image

Wine Description

A 100% single-vineyard Gewürztraminer from the Nussbaumer plot. Gewürztraminer is without a doubt the most typical and renowned white varietal from Alto Adige. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and purity, the wine is refined for 10 months before release.

Acclaim
Pale straw-yellow with a hint of green. Vibrant, highly aromatic nose of rose petal, white peach, minerals, vanilla and spices manages to come across as remarkably restrained and elegant. Fresh and crisp on the palate, with pink grapefruit and tangerine flavors in the forefront, and ginger cookie, white peach and lime mounting on the back. Finishes long and light, with a distinctly floral quality. As I've said before, this is one of the world's most elegant interpretations of the grape, and still my choice as the best gewürztraminer made in Italy today.
— International Wine Cellar, Apr 2008
Offers intense aromas of pineapple skin, peach, toffee and blanched almond. Full-bodied, with lots of fruit and a long, rich finish. Oily, yet rich and relatively crisp.
