Domaine Nico Histoire D'A

Histoire D'A bottle image

Wine Description

In both La Savante and Histoire d'A we use whole clusters during fermentation to highlight the texture and graininess of the wines.  Histoire d'A is a generous due to great sun exposure, with cinnamon, cloves, and perceived sweetness to the tannins.

Acclaim
“I still noticed the influence from the élevage in the 2020 Histoire d’A Pinot Noir. The wine comes from a warmer year and is riper and has slightly higher but still moderate alcohol at 13.5%. Pinot Noir is quite sensitive to heat and shows quite differently in cooler and warmer years. The palate also shows abundant, grainy-textured tannins that give it a faint rusticity.”

“The 2020 Pinot Noir Histoire d'A from Gualtallary, Uco Valley was half fermented in whole bunches before aging for 15 months in a third new barrels. Cherry red in the glass. The nose presents notes of dried flowers, rose and hints of herbs against an oaky backdrop. Dry with a skinny expression, the gentle, chalky tannins linger at the back of the mouth along with herbal and clove flavors.”
