Korem

Other Red Grape or Blend

Located amidst Sardinia’s natural beauty, just north of Cagliari, is the Argiolas estate, widely known for its crisp, refreshing white wines and its unforgettably complex reds. The Korem is a voluptuous, exotic red wine made from Bovale Sardo, Carignano, and Cannonau grapes grown in the Sa Tanca vineyard. The wine is aged in barriques and cement vats for one year with further development in the bottle for six months.

Tasting Notes

Opaque ruby-red in color, layered aromas of blackberries and wild berries are complemented by undertones of smoky minerality, leather, chocolate, and a touch of savory spice. On the palate, the wine offers the same rich breadth of flavors, with incredible balance and velvety, fine-grained tannins.

Food Pairing

Pair this wine with roasted pork (especially mofongo), mushroom demi-glace sauces, sardine beccafico, and veal scallopini.
