Perlato del Bosco Red

Sangiovese & Sangiovese-Based Blends

Perlato del Bosco is a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon from estate vineyards around Suvereto. The grapes are harvested and vinified separately. Each year the blend is adjusted slightly to take advantage of vintage differences. The wine is aged for twelve months in second- and third-passage French oak barriques before release.

Tasting Notes

Concentrated, dense, and opaque in color with purple reflections, Perlato del Bosco delivers tantalizing aromas of blackberry, cherry liqueur, currants, ripe plums, damson fruit, tea leaves, incense, and leather, which continue to unfold on the palate. Rich and full-bodied, this enticing red is framed by fine tannins and concludes with a long, evolving finish of anise, violets, and peppery spice.

Food Pairing

Try it with well-seasoned steak, game, pot roasts, or other slow-cooked meals.
