Tua Rita Perlato del Bosco Red

Perlato del Bosco Toscana IGT bottle image

Wine Description

Perlato del Bosco is a blend of equal parts Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon from estate vineyards around Suvereto. The grapes are harvested between the first and third weeks of September. After a gentle pressing, the juice and skins are macerated for 25-30 days to capture all the sumptuous character of the grapes in the final wine. The wine is aged for fifteen months in new French oak barriques before release.

Acclaim
“The price is right and the blend is excellent. Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon are mixed in equal parts resulting in excellent integration and aromas that express the characteristics of both varieties. Blackberry and cassis is followed by spicy tones and bright freshness.” TOP 100 WINES.
— Wine Enthusiast, Dec 2011
This is a really gourgeous, with currant, cassis, blueberry and spices. Full-bodied, with the tannins and fruit in beautiful proportion. Goes on for minutes.
