Tramin Lagrein

Lagrein Alto Adige DOC bottle image

Wine Description

Bright ruby red in color with garnet hues, this is an extremely typical Lagrein, offering intense and complex aromas of cocoa, cinnamon, wild berries and violets. Harmonious on the palate, with fine tannis, it is full-bodied, velvety, round and long, with a spicy finish and a well-integrated acidity. Goes well with game, red meat and spicy cheese.

Acclaim
The 2008 Lagrein is bold and racy. Dark fruit, sweet herbs and spices all come together in this juicy, harmonious wine. The Lagrein was aged in neutral large oak casks, which allows the fruit to emerge with plenty of character. This is a terrific Lagrein for the money.
