Lagrein

Bright ruby red in color with garnet hues, this is an extremely typical Lagrein, offering intense and complex aromas of cocoa, cinnamon, wild berries and violets. Harmonious on the palate, with fine tannis, it is full-bodied, velvety, round and long, with a spicy finish and a well-integrated acidity. Goes well with game, red meat and spicy cheese.

Tasting Notes

Made from 100% Lagrein from southern Alto Adige. After a short maceration, the skins are constantly pushed down in the juice to obtain greater color extraction. Part of the wine is aged for 8 to 10 months in bottle, and part is aged in barriques, to ensure greater finesse and smoothness.

Food Pairing

This wine pairs extremely well with roasted game, pork or lamb, and flavorful cheese.
