Tramin Lagrein

Lagrein Alto Adige DOC bottle image

Wine Description

Made from 100% Lagrein from southern Alto Adige. After a short maceration, the must is fermented for several days. During maceration, the skins are constantly pushed down in the juice to obtain greater color extraction. Part of the wine is aged for 8 to 10 months in bottle, and part is aged in barriques, to ensure greater finesse and smoothness.

Acclaim
Medium to dark garnet. Fresh rspberry on the nose...very fresh and smooth, showing uncharacteristically herbal flavors mingling with cocoa and cinnamon. Tannins are benign, and a suggestion of sweet tobacco emerges on the finish...
