Rural life in Mendoza is rooted in a deep connection with the surrounding natural environment and the stages of life in the vineyard, interrupted without fail by the family weekend gathering for asado, our name for barbecue.
TILIA illustrates the journey toward sustainable viticulture in Argentina through its label, with the hope to inspire a movement among wine drinkers and producers all over the world. TILIA is also the first Argentine wine to carry the Bodegas de Argentina Certified Sustainable Seal on its label.
As Argentina's signature Malbec continues to rise in popularity, winemakers are creating some exciting blends using Malbec like this Malbec-Syrah blend, which features notes of dark fruits and spice.
Wine Production
Crafted with 100% certified organic Malbec and Syrah grapes, the winemaker uses racking, punch down, pump over, aeration, and delestage during maceration. The wine is then aged in 225L French and American oak for six months.
Tasting Notes
Intense violet color. Complex nose of red and dark fruit with subtle spice and leather hints. Well-structured. Ripe fruit jam, leather and meat flavors. Finishes long and lingering, with soft, sweet tannins.
Food Pairing
Pair this red blend with a spicy meat dish like Szechuan noodles with spicy beef sauce.

About the Vineyard
The grapes for this wine are sourced from vineyards in the Eastern region of Mendoza and Uco Valley with elevation ranging from 2,600 to 4,300 feet above sea level. The vineyards are managed with strict organic practices, and no pesticides, fungicides, or synthetic chemicals are used in the vineyards.
