Cousiño Macul

Finis Terrae

Finis Terrae (“the end of the world”) is one of Chile’s pioneering premium blends and a heartfelt tribute to its fertile lands.

This homage to the soils at the end of the world is a blend of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah from each vintage. It reflects the unique character of Cousiño Macul estates in the Upper Maipo Valley.

For Finis Terrae, Cousiño Macul goes to the ends of the earth to find the best expression and most concentrated flavors. Grapes from the oldest ungrafted massal selections capture the ultimate richness and flavors from the heart of Chile. It is crafted by sampling hundreds of blends until the ideal balance of fruit, acid, tannin, alcohol, and oak is achieved.

Tasting Notes

Cousiño Macul Finis Terrae is renowned for its complex nose of ripe plum and cherry that leads into elegant paprika, salinity, leather, and wood. The palate is smooth, with a medium body, medium acidity, silky tannins, a hint of tobacco, and a persistent finish.

Food Pairing

Enjoy Cousiño Macul Finis Terrae with bold dishes such as filet mignon, grilled lamb, or slow-cooked meats with rustic potatoes.
