In 1860, Luis Cousiño imported Bordeaux's best Cabernet plantings. Since its debut in 1927, Antiguas Reservas has been crafted from these unique vines, which have never been cross-bred or sold.

Antiguas Reservas represents the finest selection of Cabernet Sauvignon from the family's vineyards. The selection process begins with a yield restriction per plant and continues throughout the entire winemaking process. The old vines yield powerful, structured, and concentrated wines. Vinification and careful aging take place in a naturally climate-controlled cellar deep beneath the Macul Estate. Approachable, dependable, and age-worthy, Antiguas Reservas expresses the distinctive character of Chile at a remarkable value. 

Tasting Notes

Cousiño Macul Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of black currant, strawberry, cherry, and raspberry. Notes of cassis mix with spice, black pepper, vanilla, and mild mint. The palate delivers medium acidity, soft tannins, and a long finish.
