The 2003 Chianti Classico Riserva Berardo, a dark ruby, offers plenty of super-ripe, jammy dark fruit along with a richly expansive personality on the palate that is beautifully supported by a persistent vein of minerality. It shows terrific energy, balance and freshness. It should drink at its finest over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2015.
