Candidato BiB Red

Candidato Red is an attractive red blend from Spain, comprised of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Tempranillo. The mission of the Familia Martínez-Bujanda has always remained true to the original intent of Joaquín Martínez-Bujanda from over a century ago – control of the vineyard is essential to making complex wines. As part of the FMB Group, Cosecheros & Criadores' goal is to produce fresh, versatile, innovative wines of high quality and exceptional value.

Wine Production

85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Tempranillo. Vinified in stainless steel tanks. Aged in American oak barrels for 6 months.

Tasting Notes

Medium-high intensity, clean and bright. Intense and pleasant aromas of undergrowth mixed in with the vanilla of the American oak and the balsamics of the Cabernet. Explosive with a meaty development and great backbone, but with no unpleasant sharp edges. Well integrated with the oak, lending it a toasted finish.

Food Pairing

Pair with medium-aged sheep and goat cheeses, game meats, pork dishes, or fish cooked in red sauces.
