Ventoux Grande Réserve des Challières

The "Réserve des Challières" is a celebration of its terroir—a dynamic, vivacious wine that reflects the beauty and charm of its Ventoux origins. Challières takes its name from the timeless white stone walls that whisper tales of the Mont Ventoux mountain, a majestic landmark crowned a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1990. This iconic setting cradles terroirs steeped in tradition, flourishing amidst an extraordinary natural sanctuary where the harmony of earth and sky crafts wines of unparalleled character.

Wine Production

Crafted with care, the grape varieties are co-fermented in temperature-regulated tanks, maintained at a precise 24°C. This meticulous process, combined with a delicate extraction technique and controlled oxygen exposure, results in a wine of impeccable balance and refined elegance. To preserve its spirited red-fruit aromas and velvety tannic structure, the wine is aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks, ensuring a fresh and lively expression in every sip.

Tasting Notes

Highly expressive and charming, featuring ripe fruit aromas elegantly intertwined with delicate spice notes. Hints of strawberry and cherry add a touch of freshness and finesse to the ensemble. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and silky, with fleshy tannins and a refined structure. The whole evolves gracefully towards a firm, persistent finish, highlighted by expressive hints of thyme and garrigue.

Food Pairing

The lively and fresh profile of this red Ventoux goes well with sautéed lamb with garlic, a mushroom omelet or ripened cheese.
