Perlato del Bosco Red

Sangiovese & Sangiovese-Based Blends

Perlato del Bosco is a blend of equal parts Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon from estate vineyards around Suvereto. The grapes are harvested between the first and third weeks of September. After a gentle pressing, the juice and skins are macerated for 25-30 days to capture all the sumptuous character of the grapes in the final wine. The wine is aged for fifteen months in new French oak barriques before release.

Tasting Notes

Concentrated and densely aromatic, Perlato del Bosco is brilliant ruby red in color. This gorgeous wine offers supple aromas of blackberry, cherry liqueur, currants, ripe plums, incense and leather which continue to evolve on the palate. Perlato del Bosco is full-bodied and spicy on the palate with fine-grained mellow tannins and a persistent note of licorice on the finish.

Food Pairing

This wine makes an exquisite match with roast beef, rich pastas, steaks, sausages or aged cheeses.
