Perlato del Bosco Red

Sangiovese & Sangiovese-Based Blends

Perlato del Bosco is a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon from estate vineyards around Suvereto. The grapes are harvested and vinified separately. Each year the blend is adjusted slightly to take advantage of vintage differences. The wine is aged for fifteen months in new French oak barriques before release.

Tasting Notes

Opaque in color with purple reflections, Perlato del Bosco delivers tantalizing aromas of blackberry, currants, damson fruit, tea leaves and leather which continue to unfold on the palate. Rich and full-bodied, this enticing red is framed by fine-grained tannins and concludes with a long evolving finish of anise, violets and peppery spice.

Food Pairing

Try it with well-seasoned steak, game, pot roasts or other slow-cooked meals.
