Syrah Per Sempre

Tua Rita

Syrah Per Sempre

Stefano Chioccioli, renowned in Italy for his expertise in both the vineyard and the cellar, is the winemaker at the estate—and his Tua Rita Syrah is certainly a beautiful expression of the variety. Yields are kept to a minimum to ensure concentration of flavors. Remarkably layered and complex this Syrah is a sumptuous wine possessing superb balance in a full-bodied style. With beautifully integrated tannins and pure harmony in the glass, this wine is a must for every collector of fine Tuscan wines.

Tasting Notes

This intensely concentrated 100% Syrah boasts spicy notes of dark ripe fruit such as blackberries and plums with a long finish. Full-bodied with perfectly integrated tannins, it offers an intriguing bouquet that includes cracked black pepper, chocolate, smoked bacon and a hint of mint.  This voluptuous, inky wine is aged in 100% new French oak barrels for one year and then transferred to another set of 100% new French barrels for a second year.  This thoroughbred treatment results in a wine of superb complexity with a hint of sweet toasty oak.

Food Pairing

Pairs well with all lamb preparations, as well as beef, pork, venison and hearty stews with rosemary, thyme and other powerful herbs.
