Tiefenbrunner

Turmhof Lagrein

Made from 100% Lagrein grown in estate vineyards in the Alto-Adige. Lagrein is an indigenous varietal that is most often vinified into deep, dark reds that have chocolate nuances and rich fruit flavors. Tiefenbrunner harvests the grapes in September and, after fermentation, 80% of the wine is aged in barriques and 20% in large oak barrels for 12 months.

Tasting Notes

Deep purple in color, with a delicate bouquet showing the cherry notes characteristic of the varietal. Subtle wood tones complement its full and round fruit flavors. Compact tannins and pleasant acidity frame the long finish of this traditional South Tyro

Food Pairing

Pair with roasted beet, blue cheese and toasted walnut salad or grilled pork chops topped with caramelized apples.
