Tiefenbrunner Linticlarus Pinot Noir Riserva

Linticlarus Pinot Nero Riserva Alto Adige DOC bottle image

Wine Description

The LINTICLARUS Selection includes the premium products of the Tiefenbrunner Castel Turmhof Estate Winery and are produced only in exceptional vintages. The name “Linticlarus” is taken from the name of the former Roman fortress "castrum linticlar" in Entiklar. Aged 12 months in French oak, the wine is deep garnet in color, and has a fine cherry bouquet. Balanced and round in flavor, it shows plenty of structure and is well-proportioned. The goal of this selection is to combine the highest potential of both the vineyard and the vintner’s art in order to produce inimitable, world-class wines.

Acclaim
Exploring the Best of Northern Italy - The estate's 2003 Pinot Nero Riserva Linticlarus is a pretty, delicate Pinot with perfumed candied cherry and herb notes. This poised wine offers outstanding persistence as well as balance. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2013.
— Wine Advocate, Oct 2007
Buying Guide - Delicately layered and fragrant throughout, this softly delivers small, steady doses of berry fruit, blue flower and vanilla fragrances. It has greater intensity in the mouth with crisp, polished acidity.
— Wine Enthusiast, Sep 2007
