Wine Description

The Linticlarus Selection line includes the premium wines of the Tiefenbrunner Estate Winery, which are produced only in exceptional vintages. The name “Linticlarus” is taken from the name of the former Roman fortress "castrum linticlar" in Entiklar. The goal of this selection is to combine the highest potential of both the vineyard and the vintner's art to produce inimitable, world-class wines.

Acclaim
The 2013 Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva Linticlarus is a spectacular expression of this unique grape variety that is absolutely worth your attention. I just loved the softness and seamless nature of the wine as it glides smoothly over the palate. It offers lingering tones of black fruit, tobacco and spice along the way. The results show impressive balance and integrity. I very much enjoyed the wild and untamed nature of the Lagrein grape within the sophisticated context presented here. Christof Tiefenbrunner hits a home run with his 2013 Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva Linticlarus. This is a fabulous red wine.
— Wine Advocate, Jul 2016
Aromatic, with oak spice and ripe fruit notes, this plush red is medium-bodied and finely knit, framed by vibrant acidity and refined tannins. Mocha and juicy blackberry flavors linger on the finish.
