Linticlarus Lagrein Riserva Alto Adige DOC bottle image

Wine Description

The Linticlarus Selection line includes the premium wines of the Tiefenbrunner Estate Winery, which are produced only in exceptional vintages. The name “Linticlarus” is taken from the name of the former Roman fortress "castrum linticlar" in Entiklar. The goal of this selection is to combine the highest potential of both the vineyard and the vintner's art to produce inimitable, world-class wines.

Acclaim
“I was impressed with the 2010 Alto Adige Lagrein Riserva Lintictarus. This native grape can sometimes taste too fruity and plump, but this rendition of the variety shows great depth and elegance. The good growing conditions in 2010 have resulted in high-quality fruit that feels mature without being too chewy or sweet. Lingering flavors of crushed mineral and spice add to the overall complexity.”
— Wine Advocate, Oct 2014
“Earthiness, new leather, sage and tobacco lead to a core of dark red and black fruit in the 2010 Lagrein Riserva Linticlarus. This is a decidedly powerful, strucutred Lagrein long on richness and power, both of which have been achieved while retaining considerable varietal character.”
— Antonio Galloni, Jun 2013
