Feldmarschall von Fenner
The Müller-Thurgau "Feldmarschall von Fenner", which ripens at over 3,300 feet above sea-level, is unique in the whole of Europe. The grapes are grown on the high plateau of Fennberg, which is protected from the north wind and has a unique microclimate. The wine is named after Franz Philipp Freiherr von Fenner zu Fennberg, founder of the Austrian Kaiserjäger (soldiers of the Austrian emperor), who once used this Hofstatt as a summer residence.
Tasting Notes
Pale green to light yellow in color, Feldmarshall offers intense aromas of sage and jasmine on the nose. This elegant wine boasts a rich profile and bright acidity which gives it incredible finesse.
Food Pairing
Extremely elegant and refined, Feldmarschall is a wonderful companion to all sorts of appetizers, from bacon-wrapped grilled shrimp to layered couscous dishes, roast veal or stuffed cornish game hens.
