Feldmarschall von Fenner

Other White Grape or Blend

The name of this wine stems from Franz Pphilipp Freiherr von Fenner zu Fennberg, commander of the Austrian-Hungary Kaiserjager regiment in the first World War who once used the Hofstatt as a summer residence. The Muller Thurgau Feldmarschall grows on the high plateu of Fennberg which belongs to the district of Margreid. It is protected from the north wind and has a special microclimate which allows the production of this wine.

Tasting Notes

Pale green to light yellow in color, Feldmarshall offers intense aromas of sage, jasmine, and apricot on the nose. This wine is delicately structured with a rich acidity giving it incredible finesse.

Food Pairing

Extremely elegant and refined, Feldmarschall is a wonderful companion to all sorts of appetizers, from bacon-wrapped grilled shrimp to layered couscous dishes, roast veal or stuffed cornish game hens.
