Mercurey Clos Voyens
The name “Voyens” derives from the Latin via - meaning path or road - reflecting the site’s historic position along an ancient Roman road running from Chagny toward Cersot, which passed directly by Clos Voyens before descending through nearby vineyards.
Wine Production
Grapes undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration for 10 days, pumping over and punching down with temperature control throughout fermentation. The wine is then aged for 10 months in 228L oak barrels, followed by 5 months in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes
A complex wine with aromas of red fruit, spices, undergrowth and humus. Full-bodied and well-balanced on the palate, with smooth tannins.
Food Pairing
Pair with roast pork, stewed poultry, as well as soft and mature cheeses.

About the Vineyard
Vines planted on hard limestone and limestone-with-chaille soils, giving the wine its structure, minerality, and tension. With a southwest-facing exposure, Clos Voyens benefits from warm afternoon light that supports ripening while preserving freshness and aromatic complexity.
