Gavi 2018

Cascina La Doria is located in the San Cristoforo municipality, two miles west of Gavi. Owned by the Martini family, Cascina La Doria is comprised of 25 estate owned hectares: 21 hectares of Cortese, 3 hectares of Merlot, and 1 hectare of Pinot Noir.

About the Vineyard

La Doria Gavi is harvested from 100% estate owned vineyards that are located on the left bank of the Lemme river, a viticultural ecosystem with alluvial soils and a favorable microclimate. The unique location allows for the prooduction of a Gavi DOCG of constant quality and intense aromas.

Tasting Notes

Bright straw yellow in color. Aromas of white flowers, apples and citrus fruits. Its taste is fresh and dry, but soft, with good persistence.

Food Pairing

La Doria Gavi can be served as an aperitif, but it also pairs well with fish dishes, soups, risottos, raw meats, and salads.
