Late Bottled Vintage Port
João Portugal Ramos and his friend José Maria Soares Franco, both renowned winemakers in Portugal, started the Duorum project in the Douro in 2007. Duorum Late Bottled Vintage is a very special and awarded Port wine.
Wine Production
Pre-fermentative maceration at controlled temperature of 10-12ºC. Fermentation takes places in stainless steel “lagares” (troughs) with robotized treading at controlled tempertures not exceeding 30ºC, in order to obtain the greatest extraction possible of skin constituents. In order to enhance the quality and the desired wine profile, a strict selection of sprits has taken place and marks the difference through its organoleptic elegance. Aged for 4 years in French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
Deep red color with dense violet tones. Intense and elegant aromas dominated by ripe black fruits such as blackberries, prune and cassis alongside aromas of rock-rose, resin and cedar. Tertiary aromas from its age and maturity contribute to its aromatic complexity. Full-bodied with great structure, well balanced acidity, with firm, ripe and well integrated tannins.
Food Pairing
The savory draw of aged Parmesan and the classic Stilton cry out for the unctuous, sweet notes of Duorum LBV. Heavy, rich, and dark, this wine shows unabashed favoritism to all things chocolate. German chocolate cake, homemade chocolate sauce, molten chocolate lava cake and chocolate bread pudding. Duorum LBV is ready to be enjoyed as soon as you can open the bottle. Serve slightly chilled.

About the Vineyard
From very old Douro vineyards, some of them more than 100 years old, and indigenous grape varieties. The aromatic intensity originate from the grape varieties Tourgia Franca and Tourgia Nacional. Sousão contributes for the wine's structure and concentration, and Tinto Cão for its freshness and elegance.
