Château de Fontenille La Coucoute Cabernet Franc

Wine Description
When Stephane Defraine founded Chateau de Fontenille in 1989 on a site whose winemaking history dated back to the 13th century, he aimed to build something to last, that he could pass down through the generations. His daughter Macha, accordingly, went away to school for winemaking. There, she developed a taste for the experimental: new techniques that she applies on their ancient vineyard undergoing organic conversion under the sub-label “La Coucoute de Fontenille.”

Wine Production
100% Cabernet Franc with a short maceration and fermented with seeds removed, unfined and unfiltered, finished with no added sulfites. The end result is very fruity and delicately spiced, without woody tannins.
