Faustino VII Rosé

Faustino VII Rosé

Wine Description

Bodegas Faustino, one of the ‘First Families of Rioja’, was founded in 1861 by the Martinez family and is actively managed today by the 6th generation Martinez daughters. Faustino received its recognition from the first export of Faustino Reserva wines in the 1960s. Today, the iconic bottle featuring Rembrandt's art has become the symbol of the excellence of Rioja wines, and Faustino wines are now enjoyed in more than 140 countries. Faustino VII Rosé is a unique wine thanks to its origins in a splendid Rioja Alavesa vintage and its precise blend of Tempranillo and Viura.  A modern, vibrant, and sophisticated rosé that combines technique, freshness, and natural elegance.

Wine Production

Every decision, from the early harvest to minimal intervention in the winery, is driven by a commitment to capturing the true essence of the fruit and the terroir. Advanced techniques such as reductive atmosphere production and controlled flotation are employed to minimize the use of sulfites while preserving freshness and primary aromas. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures, and the wine is aged on fine lees to enhance texture and complexity.

About the Vineyard

90% Tempranillo, 10% Viura. Sourced from vineyards in Rioja Alavesa at elevations between 350 - 550m. Soils are developed on alternating marls with coarse-grained sandstones, easily crumbly and arranged horizontally. Bodegas Faustino practices sustainable viticulture with a strong emphasis on biodiversity and environmental stewardship. The winery adapts grape varieties to their ideal habitats and plants in high-altitude areas to enhance quality.
