Faustino VII Garnacha

Wine Description

Bodegas Faustino, one of the ‘First Families of Rioja’, was founded in 1861 by the Martinez family and is actively managed today by the 6th generation Martinez daughters. Faustino received its recognition from the first export of Faustino Reserva wines in the 1960s. Today, the iconic bottle featuring Rembrandt's art has become the symbol of the excellence of Rioja wines, and Faustino wines are now enjoyed in more than 140 countries.

Wine Production

This Garnacha is crafted with meticulous attention to detail: whole grapes are used without stemming or crushing to preserve their essence and enhance aromatic expression. Dry ice and pre-fermentation maceration are employed to extract the full freshness of the variety. Through controlled fermentation, micro-oxygenation, and aging on lees, the result is a smooth, rounded, and fruit-forward wine. It is bottled under a screw cap and in a protected atmosphere to ensure its authenticity is preserved from the very first sip.

About the Vineyard

The viticultural philosophy embraced nature’s rhythm: nurturing vines through a rainy start and dry summer, ensuring optimal ripening. Harvest timing balanced daytime warmth and cool nights, yielding healthy grapes with exceptional color, structure, and harmony in the final wines.
