Langhe Chardonnay

Chardonnay

It is a wine born out of challenge and passion, with the belief that the Langhe always give voice to great interpretations, even in white: 100% Chardonnay, a white capable of living up to the great red wines of Langa.

For the Damilano family, focused on Nebbiolo for generations, putting themselves to the test on a white vine that has already had superb Piedmontese interpretations was an important, strongly desired comparison. The name chosen for the new white, GD, is a dedication to Giacomo Damilano, founder of the winery, who had already sensed the vocation and potential of the family vineyards in the 1920s.

Tasting Notes

This Chardonnay offers intense hints of white peach, citrus and broom, admirably blended with toasted notes and peanut butter. In the glass it is soft, enveloping, of excellent freshness and flavor with a long finish and slight spicy hints.

Food Pairing

Pairs wonderfully with charcuterie,  fish, and white meats.
