Cousiño Macul

Dama de Plata

Cousiño Macul Dama de Plata Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the winery's finest vines in the Buin vineyard. Today's generation of leaders named it in honor of Cousiño family matriarch Isidora Goyenechea, the "Silver Lady," who single-handedly fulfilled her late husband's dream of owning and operating a premier Chilean winery.

Wine Production

After a manual harvest, the grapes pass through a strict selection inside the cellar, a low-temperature maceration, then fermentation and a post-fermentative maceration for greater extraction of color and aromas. It is aged in second-use French oak barrels and transferred to stainless steel tanks for stabilization.

Tasting Notes

Cousiño Macul Dama de Plata Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of cherry, plum, and spice with an elegant balance of fruit and oak. It is medium-bodied with firm tannins.

Food Pairing

Pair Cousiño Macul Dama de Plata Cabernet Sauvignon with filet mignon, beef Wellington, twice-baked potatoes, moussaka, or mushroom risotto.
