Tramin Gewürztraminer

Gewürztraminer Alto Adige DOC bottle image

Wine Description

Few realize that Alto Adige is the spiritual home of Gewürztraminer (which translates as “spice carrier” for its spicy, exotic notes) and it has been a hallmark offering at Tramin since it was founded more than one hundred years ago. Today, the grapes are sourced from vineyards in Montagna and Termeno, where this grape is known to produce wines of particularly high caliber.

Acclaim
The 2009 Gewurztraminer is a rich, textured wine graced with notable richness in its passion fruit, ginger, spices and jasmine. This is full of varietal character, while the rich, creamy finish invites a second taste, all of which adds up to a terrific entry-level Gewurztraminer.
— Wine Advocate, Aug 2010
Intense, floral aroma, laced with vanilla and exotic scents. The flavor has a deep citrus core with a spicy edge and long, elegant finish.
