Root:1 Carmenere

Root:1 Carmenere

Wine Description

The Root:1 Carmenere vineyard is located in El Suspiro Vineyard in Peralillo, a central area in Colchagua Valley,
world-renowned for producing outstanding red wines with rich color, full body, and pure varietal character.
The rocky slopes of sand over clay help maintain moisture during the intense summer heat, while the coastal mountains
temper the vines with the cool maritime influences of the Pacific Ocean.
The Root: 1 Carménère, an elegant reflection of its environment, was fermented in stainless steel tanks and refined for ten
months in American and French oak.

Acclaim
“This modern-style wine has a clean, refreshing finish with hints of raspberry, cherry and other understated fruit flavors. This wine reminds me of many affordable, approachable wines from California, which is why I described this wine as being more modern. The second day, the flavors are crisper, cleaner and reveal hints of cherry, raspberry and blackberry. It is another outstanding, affordable wine.”
