Le Sughere di Frassinello

Le Sughere di Frassinello

Le Sughere di Frassinello is our second highest level wine, bidding to reach the level of our le grand vin, Rocca di Frassinello.  A wine of great substance, in which Sangioveto and the international grape varieties of Cabernet and Merlot fuse for an ideal Italian-French creation.  The 2009 vintage was chosen as one of Wine Spectator’s Top 100 wines.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby in color, with a broad bouquet of red fruits. It has great substance in the mouth, with soft and round tannins and a long and enveloping finish.

Food Pairing

This wine pairs well with full-flavoured pasta and rice dishes. Also recommended with poultry such as duck.
