Pere di Poli
Pere di Poli
Pere di Polo is a brandy made from Williams pears, originally brought to Italy from Egypt in ancient times, these are widely considered the most ideal variety for distillation (out of the more than 5,000 others that currently exist). Poli sources his select pears from South Tyrol in the alpine Trentino-Alto Adige region. The fruit is fermented in stainless steel tanks prior to distillation.
Tasting Notes
Pere di Poli is a clear brandy with pronounced aromas of ripe pears and white blossom. On the palate it is soft, with flavors that persist long into the finish.
