Acclaim
“This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc opens with aromas of dark-skinned fruit, Mediterranean scrub and toasted oak. The structured palate offers ripe black raspberry, clove and roasted coffee bean alongside close-grained, rather drying tannins.”
— Wine Enthusiast, Nov 2022
“The Podere Prospero 2019 Bolgheri Rosso is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The wine definitely shows some pyrazine-like highlights with black olive, garden herb and crushed white pepper. These give the wine a cooler, more streamlined personality that complements the rich dark fruit found at the core of this well-concentrated red blend. Fermented in steel and aged in barrique, the wine shows heft and power on the mid-palate and tapers down nicely on the finish."
