Made from equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, Campanaio is the result of scrupulous attention starting with the selection of the plants themselves. Searching out superior rootstocks and clones for this project became a passion for owner Alessandro Cellai. His painstaking efforts have resulted in a wine of considerable personality, one that fully shows the characteristics of the international favorites without disguising the unique aspects of the local terroir.
Tasting Notes
Campanaio is deep ruby red in color with intense aromas of blackcurrant, plums, tobacco and pencil shavings. Rich and broad on the palate, this wine shows perfect structural harmony which persists well into the finish.

Campaniao makes a great companion to many foods: from balsamic grilled vegetables to roast tenderloin laced with hoisin sauce.
