Segno Librandi Rosso Classico

Wine Description

This wine is made entirely from Gaglioppo, the most important variety from the heart of the Cirò appellation. Ionian sea breezes and higher elevations cool these southern vineyards, effectively slowing the ripening process. Cirò Rosso is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve the wine's fresh, youthful character.

Acclaim
“Woodsy herbs, florals and wild berries waft up from the 2018 Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore. Its silky textures give way to a sweet display of red fruits, with juicy acidity and minerals maintaining balance. This tapers off to freshness and a subtle twang of bitter spice. This varietal Gaglioppo might perform a bit better with a slight chill to mask some of its ripe character."
— Vinous, Jul 2021
“Bright, fruity aromas of cherry and raspberry carry the straightforward nose. It’s light in feel on the palate and equally fruit-driven, with juicy acidity and slightly sandy tannins cinching it up. It’s a well-balanced, accessible red.”
