Enrique Mendoza La Tremenda Blanco
Enrique Mendoza La Tremenda Blanco
La Tremenda Blanco is a refreshing, finely balanced white wine from Spain’s Alicante region. This wine is a "coupage" of two varieties, Sauvignon Blanc and Merseguera.
Wine Production
The grapes remain in cold storage for 24 hours before entering the winery at the ideal temperature, where a very light pressing is performed in a pneumatic press. Each variety is vinified separately and fermented in small stainless steel tanks at a very low temperature of 16°C, to concentrate the musts with the maximum amount of aromas and freshness.
Tasting Notes
Characteristic tropical and citrus aromas of the Sauvignon Blanc variety, combined with the freshness and pronounced high acidity provided by the Merseguera grape.
Food Pairing
A wine with perfect acidity, ideal for pairing with fish, rice dishes, vegetables, and cheeses. Its crisp acidity cuts through richer foods, providing refreshing balance while also enhancing the delicate flavors of lighter dishes.

About the Vineyard
Grapes are hand-harvested from the "Finca Chconero" vineyards - vines with an average age between 30-40 years grown in sandy loam soils at an altitude of 550m with East-West exposure. Merseguera, a less common variety, brings a lot of acidity and allows for great freshness in blends.
