Allan Scott Family Winemakers
Meet The Scott Family, Pioneer Winemakers in the Marlborough Region
About Allan Scott Family Winemakers
One of the few family-run estates left in Marlborough, siblings and owners Sara Stocker and Josh Scott grew up on the family vineyard and developed a passion for winemaking at an early age.
Allan Scott, their dad, planted some of the region’s first vineyards in the 1970s and has been a part of every vintage grown here since. Together with his wife, Catherine, he founded Allan Scott Family Winemakers in 1990, one of the region’s first independent wineries.
Adventure & Experimentation All Around
Being sixth generation Marlburians with a love of the outdoors, Josh and Sara bring their adventurous spirits to their winemaking approach.
Innovation in the Vineyard
Sara’s passion for the environment led her to a career carrying on the viticultural legacy established by her father to look after the land. Sara is dedicated to researching the most innovative approaches to sustainability using the latest technology and environmental practices to acclimate to an ever-changing landscape.
Creativity in the Winery
Josh brings his creative and innovative mindset to the traditional way of winemaking. His experiments range from subjecting wine barrels to various types of music to investigate which genre results in the best quality wine, to aging wines at the top of the ski fields or at the bottom of the ocean floor.
Outstanding Value
ASFW is recognized for its outstanding quality and Allan Scott Sauvignon Blanc was the first Wine Spectator Wine Value of the Year when the list debuted in 2022.

Serious Work...
Building a legacy for future generations to come, ASFW is committed to improving life within their community and the Marlborough region by sponsoring various regional sports events and supporting local schools and organizations. As advocates of a healthy lifestyle, several members of the team, including Sara and Josh, participate in multisport events such as the New Zealand Godzone Race.
... and Lighthearted Spirits!
The ASFW team is considered part of the family, and Josh and Sara work hard to ensure the winery is a great place to work and learn. While the entire team works hard, they are always ready to have a laugh and celebrate the joys of life with a glass of wine. There is never a dull moment at Jacksons Road, and that energy can be tasted in every bottle!
Commitment to Sustainability
The Allan Scott team is conscious of giving back to the land. Members of Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand (SWNZ) since 2007, ASFW joined Appellation Marlborough Wine, which provides consumers a guarantee of origin, authenticity, integrity, and environmental stewardship.
Sauvignon Blanc
Allan Scott’s flagship Sauvignon Blanc. The long ripening period shows the diverse array of flavors that express in Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh chervil, dill, red capsicum, mango, guava, and passionfruit aromas and flavors.
Pinot Noir
Allan Scott Pinot Noir develops each year from the aging of the vines and the increasing expertise of their growers. A long and luxurious feel on the palate will remind you of your favorite cherry jam colliding with a warm dark cup of black tea.
Kekerengu Sauvignon Blanc
In a little-known valley in the south of the Marlborough region lies Kekerengu Coast, an untouched, unique valley of wild beauty hidden between ageless mountains and the sea. Fresh, zesty, juicy and full, this wine shows ripe tropical fruit, a flinty palate, and finishes with mouthwatering crisp sea-salted herbaceousness.
