Acclaim
“The 2016 Petra Valpiedra is a 100% Tempranillo sourced from the Ebro riverbank in the Cenicero area, Rioja Alta. It aged for 1nine months in French barrels. With a garnet red hue, its delicate aromas showcase herbs and ash, complemented by notes of red fruit. Dry and juicy, the palate reveals fine-grained tannins, lingering with a smooth mouthfeel and a faintly herbal finish.” — Vinous, Apr 2024
“Exotic spice aromas add complexity to fresh raspberry and plum scents. This medium-bodied Garnacha pumps out red berry flavors matched by delicate spice notes. A solid finish exhibits grip and intensity but also a sense of elegance. This is refined and doesn’t overpower or bulldoze.”
— Wine Enthusiast, Sep 2020

After a dry summer the harvest was one month later than the previous one, and also as dry as during the summer, allowing thus an excellent grape sanity. Due to the green harvesting in summer, the concentration and quality of the grapes was extraordinary, a superior quality vintage for us.
