Amber-tinged red. Redcurrant jelly, bay leaf and tobacco aromas are slightly subdued and enlivened by a note of orange peel. Then bright and juicy, with savory flavors of red fruit and underbrush lingering nicely on the medium-bodied finish. Drink up. A difficult, cool and somewhat rainy vintage, this is nonetheless a very successful Turriga.
“Vibrant and long, with lovely tobacco, red cherry and camphor notes and the tell-tale 1989 creaminess.”
