“A parcel of semillon from within the Hill of Grace Vineyard that was planted in 1952. This has a very rich and ripe impression from the very outset with a smooth, lemon core of fruit aromas and flavors with a smooth, dense and concentrated palate. Subtle oak influence. Fresh acidity flushes the finish.”
“Rich aromas of white truffle and oyster shell lead to a pure beam of glazed apricot on the palate of this well-cut sweetie. Bright and mouthwatering, with accents of candied ginger, cardamom, almond biscotti and salted caramel.”
“Lots of bright fruit, such as soaked blueberries and lemon and orange rind. Medium body, a fair serving of tangy fruit, very high acidity, medium tannins and a mineral finish. A blend of sangioveto and malvasia nera.”
“The 2014 Reserva (Marquês de Borba) is a blend of 30% Trincadeira, 30% Aragonez, 25% Alicante Bouschet and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 18 months in new French oak. It comes in at 14% alcohol. This is a bit dry and stern, but it is another good-looking 2014 from Ramos—a vintage that was pretty tough in much of Portugal. Elegant and reasonably concentrated for this year, this does have that more brooding demeanor without as much vivid fruit, but it does nicely overall. Yes, other years have more concentration and better structure, but this is still a nice success in a tough year. This should be approachable young, but it may also have some room to improve if you give it a couple of years in the cellar.
“The 2014 Recit Roero Arneis from Monchiero Carbone begins with an attractive if a bit subdued aroma of apple, pear, peach and honeysuckle. Tasting the wine reveals a soft and smooth mouthfeel with a pleasant bit of creaminess and a subtle complexity that makes it a pleasure to drink. It features similar flavors to the nose but they combine majestically in the mouth. It ends with a hint of a nutty note on the long finish. If you’re a fan of Italian wines and especially those from Piedmont, this is definitely one worth seeking out!”

“Made from 100% Trebbiano di Soave, this has a shy nose that eventually reveals white spring flower and white stone fruit whiffs. The palate is lean and dilute, offering hints of peach, bitter almond and citrus peel, alongside racy acidity.”
Pale yellow with silver highlights. A marvelously faceted bouquet exhibits ripe mango and pineapple notes, apricot and a hint of orange zest. Elegant peach and apricot are highlighted by the well-integrated acidity structure. Salty and citrus mark the finish.
