Pale yellow. Melon, peach and honey aromas are lifted by a zesty note of lemon rind. Offers fresh orchard fruit flavors and a touch of bitter lime. Finishes with an echo of peach and a touch of warmth, leaving a subtle floral note behind.
Bright red. Fresh red berries, Indian spices and herbs on the nose, with a peppery quality adding urgency. Juicy, fine-grained red fruit flavors show a delicate touch and pick up tangy acidity with air. Nicely brisk on the finish, with the peppery note repeating.
The 2008 Chardonnay has medium to intense aromas of ripe peaches, pineapple and honeydew melon with a hint of butterscotch. Medium to full-bodied with a pleasant oiliness to the texture and a backbone of crispacidity, this wine finishes long and is drinking now to 2013.
The 2008 Pinot Noir was aged in a mix of new and seasoned French oak. It is medium ruby-colored with an excellent nose of rose petal, cinnamon, cherry, and raspberry. Light in body, it has racy flavors and moderate length. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.
Thirty percent of the 2006 Chardonnay was aged on its lees in a mix of new and used French and American oak. It is medium straw-colored with spicy oak notes, green apple, and pear in its attractive bouquet. This leads to a racy, Chablis-styled wine with crisp fruit, moderate depth, and good balance. Drink it over the next two years.
