[T]he wine is sexy and smooth, with light minty aromas accenting solid berry fruit. The palate is clean and zesty, with darkfruit flavors as well as black olive, cola and toast.
Bodegas Enrique Mendoza - Wine Advocate
The 2005 Santa Rosa Reserva is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Shiraz, and 15% Merlot aged for 18 months in French oak. It offers up an expressive bouquet of cedar, toast, tobacco, blueberry, and black currant. This is followed by a layered wine with spicy, ripe fruit, excellent depth and concentration, floral notes, and licorice, and a balanced, medium-long finish. Give it 2-3 years in the cellar and drink it through 2020.
