Sweet, lush fruit and herbaceous notes on the nose. Ripe on the palate with firm structure and a dry finish.
Château Beau-Site - Wine Advocate
“Tasted at the château, the 2006 Beau Site is clearly fully matured on the nose with kirsch and gravel scents on the nose, perhaps showing a little more volatility since I last tasted this Saint Estèphe in 2007. The palate is medium-bodied with simple red berry fruit, stringy tannin and a simple, slightly tart finish. Drink now.”
“The rather pricey 2010 Emeritvs is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah from their oldest vineyards in Smart-Dyson and Lyra trellises, aged for two years in French oak barrels. The nose shows a combination of what I found in the Svmma Varietalis and the Cabernet Sauvignon, mixing notes of tempera paint, fountain pen ink, leather and cured meat with unusual aromas of soy and Worcestershire sauce and a metallic hint with undertones redolent of anchovies. The palate is very dry, as the glycerin seems to be receding, like slowly drying out. Not a great showing today.”
