“The Szigeti brothers (Norbert and Peter) focus entirely on méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine at their Burgenland, Austria-based winery. Light, bright and marked by a bracing acidity, their Grüner bubbly is a delightful aperitif.”

Grüner Veltliner Brut Magnum
“Although Grüner Veltliner is the classic grape of Austria, there aren't many sparkling versions available—in this country, at least. But it's just one of the many fun discoveries on the list at the Modern restaurant—clean, bright and snappy with a characteristic Grüner 'white pepper' nose.” (A bottle shot is included in the piece.) Grüner Veltliner Ried Achleiten Stockkultur Smaragd
The Prager name is one of the most famous in the right circles. The Achleiten Stockultur is a superb single-vineyard Gruner Veltliner that is one of greatest wines of the vintage - and perhaps of the whole Wachau region of Austria. Lush and full-bodied but with a decided mineral edge, it has years of life ahead. Recommended.
